The most important thing for me, indeed for any author, is to get my books into the hands of readers. To help with that mission, I’ve laid out as much information as I can below, together with options, to make the purchase of my novels easy and at the very best prices.

Buying your book direct from the author

This is very much a double-edged sword. The upside is that, as with all self-published authors, I’m able to offer ‘special deals and prices’ for all my work, from ‘bundle deals’ to signed and personalised copies of each book (a service I offer at no extra cost). The downside, particularly from the author’s viewpoint, is that buying direct means reviews of my work can’t be posted on retail outlets by readers, and the number of copies sold isn’t registered either. In both these cases the author takes a hit, but in my very humble opinion it’s a price worth paying. Bearing those things in mind, I’ve detailed costs, deals and benefits and how to pay below, together with a reminder that the cost of postage was correct as at 27/08/2025. This will, I have no doubt, be subject to change over time, and I can accurately forecast it will be an increase, but I’ll keep these rates updated as-and-when.

I hope you find these prices and offers attractive and fair, and I’m sure you’re resourceful enough to get your comments about any of my novels out there for others to see.

Important Note: – Signed and Personalised Copies

Books will be sent out as are retail outlet, published copies. However, I’m very happy to provide signed and/or personalised copies of my novels. Can you please ensure that you ask for this service at the time of placing the order. I’m happy for you to provide the text you require for me to copy out.

International Book Supply: –

As an author, I’m pleased to write that all my novels have gained an international readership. However, postage of books directly from the author to outside UK destinations can prove expensive, even more so now the UK is no longer a member of EU. This change in UK circumstances has meant an uplift in the cost of posting to Europe and the various postage zones of Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand; all places I’ve gained a following in.

Of course, I’m very happy to offer the reduction in book prices and the bespoke service for signing to international readers too, but with some postage costs amounting to double-digit figures, it may well pay to order direct from a home-country supplier. If this is the case and a signed and/or personalised copy is what’s wanted, then please email me at the address given on this website (gaches27@live.com). Head the email ‘BOOK SIGN‘, write out what you require and I’ll copy out, sign and post a compliment slip as a book insert.
